“At your House of Representatives, we mark the Elderly Filipino Week 2018 with a milestone. Under the stewardship of House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, our House Resolution 1562 calling for the founding of the House Special Committee on Senior Citizens is finally realized. To be chaired by Ilocos Norte Rep. Imelda Romualdez-Marcos, and to be co-chaired by your Senior Citizens Party-list Representatives Francisco Datol, Jr., and Milagros Aquino-Magsaysay, the House Committee on Senior Citizens will recognize the bills and measures filed to safeguard the rights and welfare of our growing elderly population with utmost priority and urgency,” wika ng partylist lady lawmaker.
“Let me take this opportunity to remind our Older People’s Organizations all over the country, particularly our heads of the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs, and the officers and members of the Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines, of our shared roles, responsibilities, and rights in ensuring that all our elderly of the country are accorded a life of decency and dignity,” dagdag pa niya.
