MAGUINDANAO -ISANG sub-leader ng Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) at sampung tauhan nito ang sumuko sa militar sa munisipalidad ng Ampatuan.
Si alyas OB10 ng BIFF 2nd Division field commander sa ilalim ng Bungos faction, kasama ang mga tauhan, ay sumuko sa Barangay Kamasi ng Ampatuan, ayon kay Lt. Col. Samule Nadala Jr., commander ng Philippine Army commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Samuel Nadala Jr.
Ang mga rebelde ay iniharap ni Nadala kina Colonel Pedro Balisi Jr, commander of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade, Datu Piang Mayor Victor Samama at dating alkalde ng Datu Anggal Midtimbang Nathaniel Midtimbang.
Isinuko rin ng mga ito ang kanilang armas gaya ng dalawang 5.56mm M16 rifles, isang 7.62mm M14 rifle, isang Springfield rifle, dalawang Garand rifles, dalawang RPGs at dalawang Barret sniper rifles.
“The surrender was successful through the strong synergy and through the harmonious cooperation of the 2MechBn and 6IB together with PLTCOL Neftaly Donato, OIC, RIU15, PRO-BAR and PLTCOL Lendsy Sinsuat, PIU, MAG-PPO,” ayon kay 6th Infantry Battalion commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Charlie Banaag.
Pinuri naman ni Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy, commander ng Joint Task Force Central at komander ng 6th Infantry Division, ang tropa ng at ang Maguindanao local government unit sa pagsuko ng mga BIFF sub-leader at members.
