MAS malakas na suporta ang natatanggap ngayon ni dating Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa kanyang posibleng pagtakabo sa pagka-Pangulo matapos ipahayag ng mga lokal na opisyal ng Mindanao ang kanilang hangarin na patibayin ang kanyang kandidatura sa 2022 eleksiyon.

Binubuo ng 1.5 million, ang mga miyembro at opisyal ng Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) ay nagkaisang lahat na iendorso para sa pagka-Pangulo si Sen. Marcos sa national election na gaganapin sa Mayo.

Sa idinaos na National Convention ng PFP sa Tupi, South Cotabato kamakailan, ipinasa ng Partido ang isang resolusyon ng pagbibigay suporta sa kandidatura ni Marcos sa pagka-Panguluhan. Ibininbin din ng PFP ang halalan para sa chairmanship ng Partido at inireserba ito para sa dating senador.

“Kung mag-decide si Senator Bongbong Marcos na sumapi sa Partido Federal ng Pilipinas and he will take his oath as a member of PFP, tatawag po tayo ng another national convention bago po matapos ang buwan ng September where he will be nominated as the official candidate of the PFP for president,” pahayag ni PFP General Counsel George Briones.

Aprubado ng Commission on Election (Comelec) nitong 2018, ang PFP ay may idoyolohiya na batay sa isinusulong ng mga bayaning pederalista na sina Pedro Paterno at Trinidad Pardo de Tavera ng Partido Pederal.

Ibinida ng Partido ang matatag na samahan na napatotohanan sa pagwawagi ng 350 kandidato ng PFP sa nakalipas na 2019 local at congressional election.

“The PFP is proud of its integrity… the PFP has no excess baggage to carry,” sambit ni Briones.

Iginiit ni Briones ang pag-endorso ng PFP kay Marcos sa pagka-Pangulo ay bunsod ng tahasang pagpapahayag ng pagsuporta ng mga miyembro sa kandidatura ng dating senador.

Sa ginanap na convention, isinagawa rin ang halalan para sa bagong mga opisyal ng PFP, kabilang ang pagratipika sa pagkakatalaga kay Atty. Victor D. Rodriguez bilang PFP executive vice president at general campaign manager para sa 2022 national election.
