SUPORTAHAN ANG SEA GAMES, PINOY ATHLETES

NAGBIGAY ng pahayag si dating Senador Robert S. Jaworski, Sr. kaugnay sa hosting ng bansa sa 30th Southeast Asian Games.

“I have been asked quite a number of times regarding my thoughts on the country’s hosting of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games. As a former national athlete, I am grateful for the generous support of the government to our sports development program.

However, we have heard of many reports and comments on a number of subjects and matters that ran counter to the many welcomed practices, policies and systems expected and accepted by participants.

With all the present negative information and complaints, vis-a-vis what is at stake, I believe that we have no other choice than to set aside finger pointing and focus on finding solutions through our creativity and resolve the immediate concerns. We must remedy and address the shortcomings as soon as possible, as well as recover and reverse lost ground by setting up programs of appeasement that will ease out the perceptions of the inconvenienced parties and do it at all cost.

We have to realize that we have invited and expect head of states, dignitaries, diplomats, elite competitors, sports and business leaders, tourists and many others. All are expecting not only the spirit of goodwill, but the welcome and the reality of international cooperation and brotherhood sports competition, super hospitality, accorded to the visitors in this kind of setting & environment.

The games and the formal opening rites are about to begin. Let us support the SEA Games, especially the Filipino athletes, in achieving the goals of this very worthy international cooperation and brotherhood sports competition, pursuing excellence through sports and excellence in sports.”



Naging exciting ang  knockout game sa pagitan ng NorthPort Batang Pier at ng NLEX Road Warriors. Para sa akin, parehong panalo ang dalawa dahil triple  overtime ang nangyari. Kung puwede nga lang na pareho silang pumasok sa semis, qualified ang Batang Pier at Road Warriors sa ganda ng laro na ipinakita nila kamakalawa ng gabi. Ang final score ay 126-123.

Para na ring makaka-grandslam si Fil-German Christian Standhardinger dahil nakapasok sa semis ang NorthPort. Si Standhardinger ay kumana ng 33 points at 23 rebounds. Maganda ang ipinakita ni Christian sa kampo ng NorthPort. Congrats.



Sa ating mga kababayan, suportahan po natin ang ating mga ATLETA. Sana ay huwag panay batikos ang gawin natin sa kanila. Lalo na ang mga organizer ng SEA Games. Lahat po ay naghihirap para mapaganda ang mga venue, mga tutuluyan ng mga athlete at delegation ng mga kalahok na bansa.
