Lumipat siya sa Sarangani Province at muling tumakbo sa pagka- kongresista at nagwagi. Sumunod naman ay tumakbo sa mataas na kapulungan kung saan siya ay kasalukuyang senador. Makikita natin na ang mga nakamit na tagumpay niya sa larangan ng politika ay patungo sa pinakamataas na posisyon sa ating bansa.
Sa ngayon ay nasa gitna siya ng palitan ng maaanghang na salita kay Pangulong Duterte sa isyu ng korupsiyon. Kaya naman napapaisip ako. Tama ba ang tinatahak na landas ni Pacquiao sa politika?
Mabigat ang akusasyon niya sa gobyernong tungkol sa korupsiyon. Hindi itonnagustuhan ni Duterte.
Dagdag pa rito ay ang awayan nila sa loob ng partido nila na PDP-Laban kung saan si Pacquiao ang pangulo. Hati ang partido kung sino ang kanilang standard bearer sa susunod na halalan.
Hindi biro ang pinasukan na intriga ni Pacquiao. Dagdag pa rito ay ang naka- iskedyul na laban niya kay unified welterweight world champion ng IBF at WBC na si Errol Spence. Nakatakda ang laban nila sa ika-21 ng Agosto. Hindi biro ang preparasyon dito. Kailangan niya na mag-pokus nang husto para magkaroon siya ng malaking tsansa na manalo sa nasabing laban. Subalit sa sitwasyon na ito, binangga niya si Duterte. Dapat ay handa siya na patunayan ang kanyang akusasyon. Si Pacquiao ay hindi tulad ng mga senador gaya nina Lacson, Drilon at Gordon na may galing sa pagpapaliwanag sa pamamagitan ng mahusay na pananalita. Hindi rito magaling si Pacquiao. May talino man siya subalit sa pagtatanong at pagpapaliwanag ay maaring paikutan siya.
Ang mga ahensya ng gobyerno na inakusahan niya ng korupsiyon ay nagbigay na ng pahayag na pinabubulaanan ang mga sinasabi ni Pacquiao. Ang mga oposisyon ay nagbabantay lamang kung madadapa rito si Pacquiao bago nila suportahan ang ating world champion. Dahil tila hindi rin sila kumbisido na si Pacquiao ang maaari nilang standard bearer sa susunod na eleksiyon.
Dahil sa pangyayaring ito, imbes na ipagbuklod ni Pacquiao ang sambayanan sa kanyang susunod na laban, baka mabawasan ang ningning ng laban na ito para sa Filipino.
Wala akong hangad kung hindi ang magtagumpay si Pacquiao sa ika-21 ng Agosto. Ngunit sa larangan ng politika ay kailangang mag/isip-isip siyang mabuti kung papaano siya makakaalis sa gusot na kanyang pinasukan.
