TARGET ng Department of Health (DOH) na maibigay simula ngayong araw ang special risk allowance o SRA ng karagdagang mahigit sa 20,000 health workers sa bansa.

Ayon kay Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, inaasahang ngayong araw mailalabas ang mahigit P300 milyong pondo para rito.

Aniya, ang naturang halaga ay mula sa miscellaneous and personnel fund ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) para sa SRA ng mga health worker.

Bago ito ay  nagpalabas na ng P10.33 bilyong pondo noong Setyembre 2021 hanggang nitong Hunyo 2021 para sa 685,431 medical workers.

Nauna rito ay binigyan ni Pangulong Duterte ang DOH at DBM ng 10 araw para bayaran ang mga benepisyo ng mga health worker sa gitna na rin ng pagbabanta ng mga ito na magsasagawa ng mass resignation.
