NAHIGITAN ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang collection target nito sa Pebrero sa kabila ng nagpapatuloy na epekto ng COVID-19 pandemic sa overall trading environment.
Sa isang statement, sinabi ng BOC na nakakolekta ito ng P46.145 billion noong nakaraang buwan, mas mataas ng P3.988 billion o 9.5% kumpara sa P42.157-billion goal para sa Pebrero.
Tinukoy ang preliminary report mula sa Financial Service nito, sinabi ng BOC na 10 sa 17 Collection Districts -ang nalagpasan ang kanilang collection target noong Pebrero.
Ang mga ito ay ang Port of Legaspi, Port of Tacloban, Port of Cagayan de Oro, Port of Subic, Port of Batangas, Port of Iloilo, Port of Clark, Port of Davao, Port of Manila, at Manila International Container Port
Noong Enero ay nahigitan din ng Aduana ang monthly revenue collection target nito ng 7.4% o P3.277 billion.
“Indeed, the bureau continues to prove the intensified collective efforts of all ports this year, not to mention, the improve-ment of volume of importation, as well as the government’s effort in ensuring unhampered movement of goods while main-taining border security and trade facilitation,” the sabi ng BOC.
