TAX AMNESTY DEADLINE EXTENDED HANGGANG DIS. 31 NA

PINALAWIG pa ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) ang deadline para sa pagbabayad ng buwis ng delinquent taxpayers hanggang sa Disyembre 31.

Ito ay makaraang ipalabas ng BIR ang Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 61-2020 o ang  “further extension of deadline of availment of tax amnesty on delinquencies.”

“The deadline to avail of the tax amnesty on delinquencies is hereby further extended from June 22, 2020 to December 31, 2020,” nakasaad sa circular.

Ang Republic Act No. 11213 o ang Tax Amnesty Act, na nilagdaan bilang batas noong Pebrero 2019, ay nagkakaloob ng pagkakataon sa delinquent taxpayers na bayaran ang lahat ng unpaid internal revenue taxes noong 2017 at mga naunang taon.

Nauna nang iniurong ng BIR ang deadline ng availment ng tax amnesty sa delinquencies mula Abril 23 hanggang Mayo 23, 2020, alinsunod sa Revenue Regulation No. 5-2020 at circularized ng RMC No. 33-2020.

Kalaunan ay muling in-extend ang deadline sa Hunyo 22, 2020 sa pagpapalabas ng RR No. 12-2020.

“The extension of the duration of availment of the tax amnesty on delinquencies is in consideration of the current circumstances prevailing in the country in relation to the World Health Organization’s declaration of COVID-19 Global Pandemic,” sabi ng BIR.
