MAY sapat na suplay ng tubig sa Metro Manila ngayong taon lalo na sa darating na summer, ayon sa Malakanyang.

Sinabi ni Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles na tiniyak ni Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) OIC Administrator Reynaldo Velasco na walang water shortage sa Metro Manila.

“According to the MWSS Chair and OIC Admin Reynaldo Velasco, we expect to have a sufficient supply of water this year in Metro Manila. Wala ho tayong water shortage dito sa Maynila,” pahayag ni Nograles sa virtual presser.

Aniya, minamadali na rin ng MWSS ang paggawa sa mga proyekto para masigurong sapat ang suplay ng tubig.

Kabilang dito ang kontrobersiyal na Kaliwa Dam project, Long-Term Water Source Development for Metro Manila project o ang Upper-Kaliwa at Kanan River, East Bay Water Supply Project Phase 1 at Phase 2, at ang Wawa-Calawis Water Supply Project Phase 1 at Phase 2.

Ani Nograles, ang lahat ng proyektong ito ay makapagbibigay ng kabuuang suplay na 1.368 million liters kada araw.
