TOP PADEL PLAYER SASABAK SA MELBOURNE OPEN

DETERMINADO si Jessica Agra na umangat ang kanyang International Padel Federation (FIP) ranking sa paglahok sa mas maraming torneo ngayong taon.

Si Agra ay kasalukuyang No. 340 sa FIP ranking, ang world governing body ng sport.
Sa Philippine Padel Association (PPA) women’s pro rankings ay No. 1 siya na may 6960 points, kasunod sina PPA founder Alenna Dawn Magpantay na may 5740 points, Christine Patrimonio (3900), Bambi Zoleta (3420), Mayumi Penntoft (2660) at Joanna Tan (2600). Tabla sina Alessa Belbes, Jessica Lucas at Michelle Dickson sa eighth place na may tig-2000 points.

“It’s nice to end the year taking the No. 1 spot since 2024 was the year I shifted my focus to sports again and took padel seriously. The hard work is starting to pay off and I’m proud of my progress in 2024,” sabi ng 32-year-old lawyer sa isang panayam nitong Huwebes.

Una sa kanyang listahan ang Melbourne Open, isang silver category event sa 2025 Cupra FIP Tour na nakatakda sa susunod na linggo.

Si Agra ay makikipagtambal kay Japan national team member Yoshino Kushima, na No. 301 sa buong mundo.
