Ito ang ibinunyag ni Alas Pilipinas head coach Jorge De Brito nitong Linggo sa hosting ng bansa sa Volleyball Nations League (VNL) Week 3 sa Mall of Asia Arena sa Pasay City.
“[Tots Carlos] plays good. She’s always been the one who we requested for us for the national team. But at the moment, she’s not there,” sabi ni De Brito.
Sinabi ng Brazilian mentor na bibigyang-linaw ng Rebisco ang kaganapang ito.
“Rebisco will release something [about this development soon]. What we’re expecting is to bring the guys who are really good at the same time.”
Aniya, pananatilihin nila ang parehong pool, subalit madaragdagan ito tulad ng nauna niyang inanunsiyo at ng Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF).
“We still have the same players. Of course, we’re gonna add but now for the lineup, we have 18 players including Jema [Galanza], [Bella] Belen who will join us now. [The pool is] almost complete and we’ll find it out with these [18] players,” dagdag pa niya.
Bukod sa bronze-winning AVC Challenge Cup roster, idinagdag sa pool sina Jema Galanza, Bella Belen, at Alyssa Solomon para palalimin ang Alas bench.
Makakaharap ng Jia de Guzman-led squad ang Vietnam sa knockout quarterfinals sa July 5.
Nakataya sa torneo ang isang puwesto para sa FIVB Women’s VNL.
