Tiniyak ni Senator Christopher “Bong” Go na siya, kasama ang buong administrasyong Duterte, ay nananatiling nakapokus sa public service upang matiyak na lahat ng mga Pinoy ay kasama patungo sa recovery mula sa nagaganap na COVID-19 pandemic.

“Serbisyo, serbisyo, serbisyo ang iniisip ko. Ang focus ko, mula noon hanggang ngayon, ay ang magserbisyo sa kapwa kong Pilipino. Please count me out sa usaping politika,” ani Go.

Kaugnay nito, hinikayat pa ni Go ang bawat Pinoy na makipagtulungan sa pamahalaan at lumahok sa bayanihan efforts upang malampasan ang krisis.

“Focus muna tayo, serbisyo muna tayo. Mahalaga po nandiyan po ang ating recovery measures at importante po walang maiwan, importante po dito makarecover muna ang buong bansa,” dagdag pa ni Go.

“Darating naman po ang politika, darating po ang Oktubre, meron na pong mga kandidato at darating naman ang Mayo sa susunod na taon ay pipili naman tayo ng lider. So, hintayin na lang po natin ang mga panahong ‘yun. Sa ngayon, dapat lahat ng atensyon natin ay nasa bayanihan para malampasan ang mga pagsubok na hinaharap ng bansa,” aniya.

Hinikayat din ng senador ang mga political leader at mga supporter mula sa lahat ng panig na gawing prayoridad ang kapakanan ng mga mamamayan sa halip na ang kanilang pansariling interes.

Aniya, “Ang importante ngayon ay patuloy tayo na nagtutulungan para sa ikabubuti ng mga kababayan nating naghihirap dulot ng pandemya. Dahil kung hindi natin malampasan ang krisis na ito, baka wala na tayong pulitika pang pag-uusapan pa.”

Samantala, nilinaw rin ni Go na wala sa kanyang isip ang pagtakbo sa mas mataas na posisyon sa susunod na halalan, matapos na matanong kung may plano ba siyang tumakbo sa 2022 presidential race.

“Wala pa ho sa isip ko yan. Alam niyo naman, laging nagbibiro po ang Pangulo. Lagi ko pong sinasabi na I am not interested to run for higher office. Alam ng Pangulo iyan na hindi ako interesado,” aniya.

Binigyang-diin niya na ang kanyang naunang pahayag na tatakbo siya sa pagka-pangulo kung tatakbo si Pang. Duterte bilang kanyang bise presidente, ay tugon lamang niya sa biro ng pangulo.
