VALDEZ, MORADO BALIK SA SEAG VOLLEY POOL

INILABAS ng Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) nitong Linggo ang listahan ng mga player na magiging bahagi ng national training pool para sa nalalapit na Southeast Asian Games sa Hanoi, Vietnam, kabilang sina Alyssa Valdez at Jia Morado.

“The federation approved the recommendation of the national coaching staff for the national pool where we will eventually name the final composition of the teams for the Hanoi SEA Games,” wika ni PNVF President Ramon ‘Tats’ Suzara.

Sina Valdez at Morado ay balik sa training pool makaraang mawala sa Asian Club Volleyball Championship.

Balik din sa national team sina Aby Maraño, Kianna Dy, Dindin Santiago-Manabat, at Deanna Wong.

Ang iba pang players na nasa pool ay sina Iris Tolenada, Jasmine Nabor, Dawn Macandili, Dell Palomata, Ces Molina, Kalei Mau, Kat Tolentino, Casiey Dongallo, Mylene Paat, Faye Gajero, at Jaja Santiago.

Samantala, halos buo pa rin ang men’s team kung saan nananatili sa pool ang mga tulad nina John Vic De Guzman, Rex Intal, Kim Malabunga, at  Ish Polvorosa, kasama sina Ysay Marasigan, JP Bugaoan, Francis Saura, Jessie Lopez, Manuel Sumanguid III, Kim Dayandante, Josh Retamar, Joeven dela Vega, Jack Kalingking, Mark Alfafara, Nico Almendras, Ricky Marcos, at Lloyd Josafat. Sina Marck Espejo at Bryan Bagunas na hindi rin nakasama sa Asian Club Volleyball Championship ay kabilang na sa pool.

Sinabi ni Suzara na hindi makakasama ang collegiate players sa pool dahil sa iskedyul ng  collegiate leagues.

“It’s unfortunate that our promising young players from the collegiate leagues couldn’t join the pool, and the SEA Games for that matter, because their respective leagues are resuming their competitions before the Hanoi Games,” ani Suzara.

Si Jorge Souza de Brito ang gagabay sa women’s squad, kasama sina Odjie Mamon, Grace Antigua, at George Pascua, habang ang men’s team ay nasa ilalim nina Dante Alinsunurin, Ariel dela Cruz, at  Sherwin Meneses.

Para sa beach volleyball team ay magbabalik sa buhangin ang tambalan nina Sisi Rondina at Bernadeth Pons, kasama sina Floremel Rodriguez, Genesa Jane Eslapor, Jozza Mae Cabalsa, Jovelyn Gonzaga, Nerissa Bautista, at  Baby Love Barbon.

Ang men’s beach volleyball pool ay kinabibilangan naman nina Jaron Requinton, Anthony Lemuel Arbastro, Jr., Jude Garcia, James Buytrago, Alnakran Abdilla, Philip Michael Bagalay, Pol Gringo Salvador, at  Jeffer Guerrero.

Gaganapin ang SEA Games sa Hanoi, Vietnam sa May 12-25. CLYDE MARIANO
