Principals are responsible to their schools to make these viable and sustainable for all aspects.
It is a common knowledge that principals are accountable to their decisions especially in the implementation of curriculum, teaching and learning, budgeting, asset management, resource administration, and overall school operations. If these can be implemented effectively, the school’s success will be attained for long-term sustainability, not only for short term ones.
Never think of failing to lead effectively but dream of the positive and sustained viability at your school. Like the chief executive officer of a corporation, a school principal should always see that the educational institution has its primary purpose of achieving its target—that of effectively and efficiently maximizing learning for learners, especially for public schools.
Isn’t it that being the leader, the principal is the role model? Yes, because the principals are steering the educational institutions into growth and success and strategic leadership. The principals set and attain goals, lead people—the teachers, non-teaching staff, parents, community members, and other stakeholders.
Principals are decision-makers who manage and allocate resources for the benefit of the school and its learners. With this acumen, a principal is an executive who ensures overall operational leadership.
Hence, the principals are bound to leave a legacy in every school that they will handle. It is a heartwarming thought to see the school they once handle as successful even after their tenure. So the focus on future is vital. By engaging the community to attain and realize visions, principals will continuously endeavor to perform always at their best.
