The western section (south-bound 2-lanes) of the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) shall be closed to traffic from May 28-June 9, 2020 to give way to the bored piling works for the Sucat-Alabang Extension.
With the National Capital Region and Region IV-A under the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine MECQ) and the possibility of placing the areas under the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) by June 1, 2020, the Concessionaire will be requested to mobilise ahead of their previously scheduled closure on June 1 to take advantage of the limited public transportation and movement of motorists. With this new schedule, the influx of bigger number of motorists and public transportation will be avoided and bored piling works will proceed unhampered. The Concessionaire will also be requested that the scheduled 15-days completion of civil works at the subject area be reduced between ten (10) to twelve (12) days. With the start of closure of south-bound lanes on May 28, 2020 and the reduction between 10-12 days for the bore piling works, the previously scheduled opening of the area by June 16, 2020 will be reset to June 7-9, 2020.
It is ensured that public advisories will be immediately disseminated and alternative routes shall be identified and made available to motorists.
