WHITE RICE MULA VIETNAM NASABAT

CEBU – NASABAT ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) sa Port of Cebu ang 10 containers na kargado ng white rice galing sa Vietnam.

Naka-consign sa Sagetics Enterprises ang kargamento at dumating sa Cebu Port noong Nobyembre 12.

Isinailalim sa pagsusuri ni Customs Examiner Marc Henry Tan ang shipment kasama ang mga kinatawan mula sa Department of Agriculture Compliance and Regulatory Enforcement for Security and Trade Office (CREST), Bureau of Plant and Industry (BPI), at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Nang masuri, lima mula sa sampung containers ang nagtataglay ng napakalagkit na hindi idineklara ng tama.

Agad nagpalabas ng Warrant of Seizure and Detention (WSD) sa mga kargamento dahil sa intentional misdeclaration sa ilalim ng Republic Act No. 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.
