MINOBILISA na ng Commission on Elections, Armed Forces of the Philippines at Philippine National Police ang mahigit sa isang milyong katao na bubuo sa puwersa at resources na gagamitin sa halalan sa Lunes.
Kabilang sa may 1,158,696 puwersa na dineploy kahapon ang 98,000 sundalo at 149,830 na pulis.
Habang umaabot naman sa 526,686 officials, personnel, teachers mula sa Department of Education ang idineploy na gagamitin pangangasiwa ng election, bu-kod sa 350,000 officials and volunteers from PPCRV.
Pinangunahan ng Comelec, AFP at PNP ang ginawang send-off ceremony sa Lapu-lapu Grandstand kahapon.
Ayon kay AFP Chief Gen. Benjamin Madrigal Jr. “The send-off ceremony is a fitting testimony of our firm aspiration for a peaceful and successful conduct of the National and Local Elections next week. This also signifies that we are all prepared and ready to be deployed in the different areas where our services and assistance are very much needed.”
Pahayag naman ni PNP chief P/ General Oscar Albayalde.” While we expect security threats to continue and lawless elements to attempt to disrupt the elections in some areas, I must say we are fully prepared to face and address challenges that may come our way.”
Naniniwala ang AFP at PNP na magiging maayos at matiwasay ang magaganap na halalan gaya ng nag-ing karanasan sa nakaraang Barangay and Sanguniang Bayan elections noong May 2018 at ang naganap na Bangsamoro Organic Law plebiscite na walang naitalang failure of election. VERLIN RUIZ
