APAT na Pinoy taekwondo jins ang isasabak sa Olympic qualifying na gaganapin sa China sa April.
Ayon kay Philippine Taekwondo Association executive director Sung Chon Hong, kasalukuyan nilang binubusisi ang credentials at kakayahan ng mga taekwondo athlete.
“As of now, I am thoroughly studying, validating ang evaluating the credentials of the four fighters we will send to China. The tournament is an Olympic qualifying, it is proper to send our best fighters to have a good fight and a chance to win,” sabi ni Sung sa panayam ng PILIPINO Mirror.
Binanggit ni Sung ang mga pangalan nina Brazil Olympian Kirstie Elaine Alora, Filipino-American Samuel Thomas Harper Morrison, Pauline Lopez, Christopher Uy at Arwin Alcantara.
Lahat sila ay medalists sa katatapos na 30th Southeast Asian Games kung saan humakot ang taekwondo ng 8 gold, 9 silver at 4 bronze medals. CLYDE MARIANO
