MAAARING magbakasyon ng limang araw ang mga kawani ng gobyerno na naapektuhan ng pagsabog ng Bulkang Taal, ayon sa Civil Service Commission (CSC).
Sa isang statement ay iginiit ng CSC ang Memorandum Circular Nos. 2 at 16 na inisyu noong February 16, 2012 at October 17, 2012, ayon sa pagkakasunod, na naglalaman ng mga alituntunin sa pagkakaloob ng special emergency leave para sa mga empleyado ng pamahalaan.
Sa ilalim ng dalawang circulars, ang naturang leave ay maaaring gamitin sa limang sunod na araw o unti-unti at hindi ibabawas sa leave credits ng mga empleyado.
“It may be used for the urgent repair and clean-up of a damaged house, being stranded in affected areas, disease/illness of employees brought by natural calamity/disaster, or caring of immediate family members affected by natural calamity/disaster,” ayon sa CSC.
Idinagdag ng CSC na ang special emergency leave ay maaaring i-avail ng mga apektadong kawani ng gobyerno sa loob ng 30 araw mula sa unang araw ng deklarasyon ng kalamidad ng kaukulang government agencies or authorities.
“The head of office shall take full responsibility for the grant of special emergency leave and verification of the employee’s eligibility to be granted thereof,” sabi pa ng CSC.
“Said verification shall include: validation of place of residence based on latest available records of the affected employee; verification that the place of residence is covered in the declaration of calamity area by the proper government agency; and such other proofs as may be necessary.” PNA
