BIBIGYANG-PUGAY ang future heroes ng Philippine sports sa 3rd Siklab Youth Sports Awards sa Dec. 4 sa Market! Market! Activity Center, Ayala Malls, BGC sa Taguig City.
Ang mga awardee ay kinabibilangan nina double Asian Games bronze medalist Alex Eala ng tennis, World Combat Games champion Alyssa Kylie Mallari ng muay thai, weightlifting world youth champion Prince Keil Delos Santos at 20 iba pang mga atleta mula sa iba’t ibang sports para sa Go For Gold Siklab Young Heroes sa gala para sa pinakamahuhusay na Filipino athletes 18 years old and younger.
Pararangalan din sina Asian youth double gold medalist Artegal Barrientos ng bowling, gymnast Karl Eldrew Yulo, isang Asian championship junior silver medalist, at Southeast Asian Games gold medalists Kira Ellis at Matthew Hermosa sa event na inorganisa ng PSC-POC Media Group sa pakikipagtulungan sa Philippine Sports Commission at Philippine Olympic Committee.
Pangungunahan naman nina World champions Joseph Anthony Godbout ng modern pentathlon, pitcher Erica Arnaiz ng softball, muay’s Jan Brix Ramiscal at Asian championships bronze medalist Jasmine Althea Ramildo ng gymnastics ang Burlington Super Kids Award kasama sina wrestling’s Lucho Aguilar, Trisha Mae Del Rosario ng obstacle sports at karate’s Sebastian Niel Mañalac.
Papagitna rin sa awards night sina Rising Stars awardees Christian Gian Karlo Tade at Mark Jay Bacojo ng chess, archers Miel Mckenzie Cipriano, Miguel Carlos at Marc Dominic Collantes, Mico Villaran (athletics) at swimmer Julian de Kam.
Kasama ang Market! Market! at Ayala Malls na muling sumuporta bilang venue partners, ang third edition ng Siklab awards ay magkakaloob dib ng special citation sa Youth Football League at sa Davao Aguilas Football Club.
Ngayong taon, si pole vault celebrity EJ Obiena ang napiling Sports Idol awardee habang si Asean Para Games double gold medalist Ariel Alegarbes ng swimming ang nag-iisang recipient ng Para Youth Star award sa event, na dadaluhan ni Senator Christopher “Bong’’ Go bilang guest of honor at godfather awardee.
May kabuuang 59 awardees mula sa 33 sports ang kabilang sa 2023 class ng Siklab Youth Sports Awards, na naunang idinaos noong 2018 at 2019 bago ipinagpaliban dahil sa pandemya.
