ALIW Broadcasting Corporation officially launched Aliw Channel 23 at The Podium Hall in Mandaluyong City on Friday, June 23, 2023.
Distinguished individuals, including Senator Cynthia Villar, commissioners, ambassadors, and guests from both public and private institutions, attended the event. They received a warm welcome from the executive officers of Aliw Broadcasting Corporation, led by Chairman and President D. Edgard A. Cabangon.
The occasion paid tribute to the visionary founder, Amb. Antonio L. Cabangon Chua, whose remarkable legacy continues to inspire the endeavors of Aliw Broadcasting Corporation.
D. Edgard A. Cabangon, Chairman and President of Aliw Broadcasting Corp., warmly reminisced about his late father, Ambassador Antonio L. Cabangon Chua. “Aliw 23 fulfills my dad’s dream. As we just celebrated Father’s Day, we are committed to ensuring that my dad would be proud as we embark on this new journey in our media business,” he shared with heartfelt sentiment.
The launch ceremony was honored by the presence of Atty. Ella Blanca B. Lopez, Commissioner of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), who served as the Guest of Honor. Lopez delivered a captivating Keynote Address, expressing the anticipation of the Filipino TV viewing public for the programming that Aliw Channel 23 has to offer.
“The Filipino TV viewing public is eagerly awaiting to see what Aliw Channel 23 has to offer. This public sentiment should inspire your outfit to create awe-inspiring, truthful, educational, and uplifting content. This much, we owe to the Filipino people,” she said. Lopez urged the company to continue delivering its best.
Following her Keynote Address, Atty. Lopez, together with the Executive Officers of Aliw Broadcasting formally launched Aliw Channel 23 with a ceremonial switch, marking the beginning of Aliw 23’s television broadcasting journey.
In his message, Atty. Mcneil M. Rante, Executive Vice President of Aliw Broadcasting Corp., reaffirmed the channel’s commitment, sharing, ” We are proud to say that Aliw has remained resilient and a constant force especially in this new information age. Rest assured that Aliw 23 will remain steadfast in our commitment to provide support to our clients’ needs by putting more value to your brands,” he conveyed.
Dennis Antenor Jr., the Vice President for Business Development of Aliw Broadcasting Corp., took the spotlight to present the plans, programs and anchors for Aliw Channel 23. He emphasized that Aliw Broadcasting’s primary forte lies in delivering reliable and informative news to the Filipino audience. He assured that the channel remains committed to providing truthful information.
With a strong emphasis on diversity and broad appeal, the channel’s programs are intended to engage and captivate viewers from various backgrounds, promising an exciting and immersive viewing experience.
