BOSS EMONG MULING NAGHARI SA PHILRACOM-PCSO SILVER CUP

SA IKALAWANG sunod na pagkakataon ay inangkin ng multi-titled Boss Emong ang Philippine Racing Commission (Philracom)-Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Silver Cup noong Linggo sa Metro Manila Turf Club sa Malvar, Batangas.  

Ang flag bearer ng Kennedy Morales Stable at 2022 Horse of the Year ay naging ikalawang back-to-back winner matapos na gawin ito ng Wind Blown noong 2001 at 2002.

Nagwagi ang grey galloper na sinanay ni Ernesto “Boy Gare” Roxas sa 1800-meter race sa bilis na one minute at 51.6 seconds.

Ginabayan ni jockey Dan “The Jackhammer” Camañero, ang Boss Emong ay nasa likod ng King Tiger sa kaagahan ng karera ngunit humarurot papasok sa huling 400 metro upang kunin ang panalo.

Pumangalawa ang Don Julio kasunod ang Big Lagoon at three-year-old Jaguar.

“Before anything else, I’d like to thank the good General Manager of the PCSO, Mr. Mel Robles and the officers with him. Without the able support of the PCSO, we would not have this type of grand races,” wika ni Philracom Chairman Reli de Leon.

“With their support, the horseracing industry can achieve contributing to the country’s efforts in sports tourism. And to Boss Emong’s connections, congratulations,” dagdag pa niya.

Sinabi naman ni PCSO GM Mel Robles na, “Congratulations to the winners and to the Philracom led by Chairman de Leon in boosting the local horseracing industry. Rest assured that the PCSO will always be there to bring top notch racing. See you at the Presidential Gold Cup this December.”
