BUDGET DEFICIT LUMIIT, P90.245-B SA FIRST QUARTER

NAKAPAGTALA ang national government ng budget deficit na P90.245 billion para sa first quarter ng taon, ayon sa datos ng Bureau of the Treasury (BTr).

Sinabi ni Finance Secretary Carlos G. Dominguez III na base sa report ng BTr  na isinumite sa Department of Finance (DOF), ang gobyerno ay nagtamo ng cumulative deficit na P90.245 billion sa unang tatlong buwan ng 2019, mas mababa ng 41 percent kumpara sa naitalang deficit na  P152.171 billion sa kaparehong panahon noong nakaraang taon.

Mas mababa rin ito ng  52 percent sa programmed deficit ng pamahalan para sa quarter na P188.353 billion.

“For the period, revenues reached P687.7 billion, an increase of 11 percent with BIR [Bureau of Internal Revenue] and BOC [Bureau of Customs] collections improving by 11 percent and 9 percent, respectively. Non tax [revenues] rose by 18 percent with higher dividends from remittances from BSP [Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas] and PDIC [Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp.] totaling P8.6 billion,” wika ni Dominguez, base, aniya, sa pahayag ni National Treasurer Rosalia V. de Leon.

“Broken down, expenditures for the three-month period amounted to P777.990 billion which posted an uptick of 1 percent compared to last year’s P771.964 billion, but recorded a contraction of 11 percent compared to the programmed expenditures for the period of P876.298 billion.”

Ang government revenues ay naitala naman sa P687.745 billion para sa first quarter, mas mataas ng 11 percent kumpa-ra sa P619.793 billion noong nakaraang taon, subalit mas mababa ng  0.03 percent mula sa  programmed P687.945 billion. REA CU
