Ito’y makaraang magdesisyon ang pamunuan ng Manila Chooks TM na umatras sa prestihiyosong liga na gaganapin sa Mayo 21-22 sa Croatia dahil sa kakulangan ng panahon para sa hinihintay na Croatian visa,
Nitong Mayo 7 pa ipinadala ng koponan ang visa application sa Jakarta, Indonesia dahil walang embahada ng Croatia sa Filipinas ngunit hanggang noong Mayo 19 ay hindi pa nabigyan ng visa sina Chico Lanete, Mac Tallo, Zach Huang, at Dennis Santos.
“There are things that we have no control of and this is one of them,” malungkot na pahayag ni Chooks 3×3 owner Ronald Mascariñas.
“Since 2019, this is the first time that we had to pull out from a FIBA 3×3 tournament and the players were really looking forward to it.
“But the challenges of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic made it hard for us to obtain our deligation’s visas,” aniya.
Nakatakdang sumabak ang Manila Chooks TM sa qualifying draw at pinaghandaan ito ng koponan sa puspusang pag-eensayo sa bubble setup sa Lucena Convention Center sa Quezon.
“The boys have been raring to bounce back after Doha but there are things na hindi natin kontrolado. Bawi na lang, that’s all we can do right now,” pahayag ni Manila Chooks TM head trainer Aldin Ayo.
