NAGBABALA kahapon ang Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) laban sa pekeng P150 bill design, na nagtatampok kay national hero Jose Rizal, na kumakalat sa social media.
Sa isang advisory, sinabi ng BSP na wala itong inilalabas na anumang bagong bill design at pinayuhan ang publiko na beripikahin ang banknotes at coins sa official website ng ahensiya.
“The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) informs the public that it has not released a 150-Piso denomination banknote featuring Dr. Jose Rizal,” nakasaad sa advisory. “Images of the said banknote circulating on social media are fictitious.”
“The public is advised to always check the legitimacy of information found on social media and other channels regarding Philippine banknotes and coins,” sabi pa ng central bank. “To verify, visit the Notes and Coins section of the BSP’s official website www.bsp.gov.ph.”
Hiniling din ng BSP sa publiko na i-report ang sinumang gumagawa o namamahagi ng counterfeit money sa email address ng BSP Payments and Currency Investigation Group sa [email protected] o sa pamamagitan ng telephone numbers +63-2-8988-4833 at +63-2-8926-5092.
