Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, vice chairperson of the Senate Committee on Finance, lauded the local government of Victoria, Oriental Mindoro for the successful inauguration of its multipurpose building during the town’s founding anniversary on Monday, September 18. The event was attended by local officials led by Mayor Lito Malabanan.
Go, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Sports, also welcomed the ongoing construction of a new sports complex located adjacent to the newly inaugurated multipurpose building which he supported as Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Finance.
God bless po,” Malabanan said through a text message.
The newly inaugurated multipurpose building, funded with Go’s support, stands as a versatile hub for athletes and the broader community alike. Beyond being a venue for athletes, this building serves as a space where community activities can be conducted.
Go also emphasized the importance of infrastructure development at the local level in contributing to the economic recovery of the country. “Investing in infrastructure doesn’t just create jobs; it stimulates economic growth. These projects lay the foundation for a stronger, more resilient Philippines,” the senator remarked.
Apart from the said projects, Go also supported several more to ensure the continued progress of the province.
The senator supported the construction of more multipurpose buildings in Baco, Bongabong, Bulalacao, Calapan City, Gloria, Naujan, Pinamalayan, and Pola, road improvements in Bansud, Bulalacao, Gloria, Mansalay, Pinamalayan, Pola, and Puerto Galera, improvement of drainage canal and public park in Puerto Galera, rehabilitation of a seawall in Bulalacao, and construction of a water system in Pinamalayan and Socorro.
