MULING itinaas ng Land Bank of the Philippines ang lending program funding nito para sa transport cooperatives at corporations sa P10-billion nang sa gayon ay makasunod sila sa Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) modernization program ng pamahalaan.
Ayon sa LandBank, ito na ang ikatlong pagkakataon na tinaasan nito ang pondo ng Special Package for Environment-Friendly and Efficiently-Driven Public Utility Vehicles (SPEED PUV) program mula sa initial funding na P1.5 billion.
Sa ilalim ng programa, ang mga eligible borrower ay makahihiram ng hanggang 95% ng total acquisition cost ng modern PUK sa interest rate na 6% per annum o 0.5% per month, na maaaring bayaran sa loob ng hanggang pitong taon.
Gayundin, ang programa ay may subsidiya na P160,000 kada sasakyan mula sa national government para sa units na may klasipikasyon na Class 1, 2, 3, at 4 category models.
“LandBank continues to extend much-need financial support to assist drivers and operators upgrade their fleet, in line with the national government’s transport modernization agenda,” pahayag ni LandBank President and CEO Cecilia Borromeo.
