ITINUTULAK ni Finance Secretary Ralph Recto ang pagbabawal sa pagbebenta ng disposable vapes sa bansa, na karamihan, aniya, ay unregistered products.
“I think we should ban disposable vape products. Most if not all disposable vape products are unregistered with DTI (Department of Trade and Industry) and do not pay excise taxes,” sabi ni Recto.
Gayunman ay nilinaw ni Recto na hindi pa niya pormal na naabisuhan ang DTI hinggil sa kanyang panukala.
Ang DTI ang ahensiya na responsable sa regulasyon ng vapes at iba pang bagong tobacco products.
“We don’t know if it’s safe being unregulated. They do not pay taxes and are sold/appeal to minors,” anang Finance chief.
Ang disposable vape ay isang non-rechargeable device na ibinebenta ng pre-charged at pre-filled na may liquid. Hindi ito kinakailangang i-recharge at i-refill.
