KATATAGAN SA PAGLABAN SA PANDEMYA

“IN extremely difficult times, it’s not always the strongest that survives, it’s the most adaptable that do. This learning, along with our culture of malasakit, allowed us, in San Miguel, to be resilient in facing the challenges of the pandemic, turn adversity into opportunities and, more importantly, help the country and our countrymen recover 2020 – and beyond.”

Ito ang mensaheng binitiwan ni businessman Ramon S. Ang, chairman and Chief Executive Officer ng San Miguel Corporation, sa kanyang mga shareholder.

“We will always remember 2020 for two things. First, how our business adapted to the worst pandemic in recent memory and second, how COVID-19 has brought out the best in us,” bahagi pa ng mensahe ni Ang.

“Im proud to say that in our country’s time to great need, San Miguel did not hesitate to put society’s needs over profits. Because of our experiences, we have a deeper sense of purposed and responsibility to fulfill our role as a nation-builder,” dagdag ni  Ang na ang tinukoy ay ang mga significant milestones tulad ng mga sumusunod:

Ang pagbubukas ng huling bahagi ng Tarlac-Pangasinan La Union Expressway patungo sa Rosario La Union. Bago matapos ang Disyembre noong nakaraang taon ay soft opening naman ng kabuuang 18-kilometer ng skyway stage-3 mula Balintawak patungo ng Buendia.

Sinimulan na rin nila ang konstruksiyon ng bagong 1000 MW Batery Energy Storage facilities at inaasahang makukumpleto ito sa lalong  madaling panahon.

“We know that for  a true and lasting recovery for our country,  we have to do our part to help end the pandemic. In support of this goal, we are spending billions on a massive vaccination program for our 70,000 employees and their families,” pahayag ni Ang.

Kabilang sa mga major project ng bantog na negosyante ay ang bagong International Airport sa Bulacan, ang Pasig River Expressway at ang massive clean-up projects.

Kung aaralin lamang ang mga proyektong ginawa ni Ang para sa kaunlaran ng bansa, marami ang nakakapuna na daig pa niya ang sandamakmak na mga politiko na walang ginawa kundi ang mangako.
