Whether it’s a man or a woman—more and more Filipino nowadays choose to ride the motorcycle—for practical or business reasons. Whenever you’re on the road—everywhere you turn your head to—you’ll always see a motorcycle. It’s said that the jeepneys—which used to be the king of the Philippine roads—has been replaced now by motorcycles.
So, it’s no wonder that the recently concluded InsideRacing Bike Festival and Trade Show that was held at the World Trade Center in Pasay that runs from March 22 to 24, was packed with riders, enthusiasts and players in the two-wheel industry. Bringing together motorcycle manufacturers and industry experts from around the metro to witness the latest innovations, cutting-edge technology, and stunning motorcycle designs. Guests were treated to a day of fun activity, exhibits, and great discounts on most products and services by almost all of the well-known motorcycle brands and parts manufacturers.
Joined by well-known brands in the motorcycle industry each put on display their coolest, shiny and latest products in their booths. Manufacturers such as Honda, Kymco, Royal Enfield, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Monarch put on show their latest motorcycles.
Honda Upgrade its New Honda Click 125
The event kicked off on March 22, Honda Motorcycle Philippines took the spotlight when they brought in the energetic and very entertaining dance number from JStar Dancer. Followed by Honda Philippines Inc. President Ms. Sayaka Arai opening remarks and presentation of the soon to be released motorcycle variants. She enthused in her talk, the secrets to their success in the Philippines, “Honda aims to listen to customers’ advice to provide joy, fun, innovation and convenience to many Filipino riders. Motorcycle market is indeed growing and Honda aims to provide to our customer top quality mobility products, best technology features, objective design, safety and environmentally friendly products. We encourage everyone to try or test drive our units for your exceptional experience”. Honda has gone all out, with an array of display units to check out, and had its motorcycles out for testing in front of the World Trade Center.
Honda also revealed some upgrades in the 2024 latest version of the Click 125 which will be available this April. As of this writing, Click is still the best selling scooter in the 125cc category. The latest version will now have a new matte brown cast wheel color, a small modification but still adds to the look. Secondly, is its improved two toned color and new striking decals. Another worth mentioning is the new rear grab matte brown finish to make it more distinct from its predecessor. The New Click 125 comes in 2 types: The Standard is priced at Php81,400 and the Special Edition is valued at Php83,900. It will also come with seven different dynamic colors to choose from.
Kymco has introduced their limited edition Dink-R 150 SE
Meanwhile, Kymco Philippines also took this opportunity to launch their highly anticipated Special Edition Dink-R 150 SE that will definitely appeal to Pinoy taste. It sports a Flat Deep Green color and is equipped with exclusive accessories, such as Full Body Crash Guard, Top box bracket, Aluminum Floor Board and 60th special edition emblem. The most important of all is that the Dink-R 150 SE will be limited to 600 units only and can be available nationwide in April 2024.
Kymco Philippines Inc. General Manager of Sales and Marketing Allan B. Santiago proudly told, “We are trying to change our trajectory by focusing more on the user end of our market, meaning starting 2024 Kymco will develop products that will cater to the lifestyle of each Filipino consumer. Expect a lot of exciting colors for all our models, what we intend to do is to incorporate the very lifestyle of every individual by accessorizing our model and the price of this unit is only Php160,000.” For the standard edition with available colors variants: Petroleum Blue, Pearly Black and Pearly White the price is at Php152,900.
Monarch Impressive Lineup
Sister company Skygo and Monarch came to impress too with a showcase of their latest products under their respective brands. Monarch unveiled an array of motorcycles that will arouse curiosity and capture the attention of the onlookers.
Clad in silver metallic hue, the Arrow 150 is a stand out unit in the Monarch showroom floor, due to its classic elegance appeal. Equipped with a keyless smart switch system and a generous 20L storage space. Key features include LED lights, a smooth GY6-150 engine for a seamless ride, and a digital display for intuitive control.
Outside of the World Trade Center, Honda, Kymco and Voge also offered some of their motorcycle models to be tested as they prepared a small track for everyone. Riders were given opportunities to try some of the motorcycles in the test ride area.
The event achieved their goals to give the motorcycle community more reasons to love and enjoy motorcycles. It also gave brands an opportunity to reach out and engage Filipino riders about their product and services.
