NAGBIDA si Jhaymo Eguilos sa 68-56 panalo ng Batangas City-Athletics laban sa Cebu-Casino Ethyl Alcohol sa pagtatapos ng elimination round campaign nito sa 2019-20 Chooks-to-Go/MPBL Lakan Cup kahapon sa Caloocan Sports Complex.

Tangan ang three-point lead sa last quarter, sinindihan nina Eguilos at Teytey Teodoro ang 12-5 rally upang ibigay sa Batangas ang pinakamala­king kalamangan nito sa 12, 68-56, may 59.8 segundo ang nalalabi.

“It was hard on the first half, but I told my players ‘we have to play like we deserve to be where we are’ that’s just what I told them. Don’t let this slide,” wika ni Batangas head coach Woody Co.

Tumapos si Eguilos na may double-double performance na 17 points at 12 rebounds at nagtala rin ng 2 assists, 2 blocks, at 1 steal.

Nag-ambag si Adrain Santos ng 13 points at 11 rebounds habang ang nagbabalik na si Teodoro ay tumipa ng 7 points sa 2-of-7 shooting.

Nakuha ng Batangas ang fourth spot sa South Division na may 19-11 kartada.

Nanguna si Criss Galvez para sa William McAloney-less Cebu na may 14 points at 5 rebounds, habang nag-ambag si John Saycon ng 13 points, 9  rebounds, at 5 assists.
