(Mula Enero hanggang Nobyembre 2023) INFRA SPENDING LUMOBO SA P1.02-T

TUMAAS ang nagastos ng pamahalaan sa impratruktura sa  P1.02 trillion mula Enero hanggang Nobyembre 2023 mula sa P861.8 billion lamang sa kaparehong panahon noong 2022.

Ang latest figure, base sa November 2023 National Government (NG) disbursement report, ay tumaas ng P159.8 billion o 18.5 percent sa infrastructure spending.

“Government spending is vital to national growth. Thus, to help buttress robust economic growth, government agencies must continue to execute their programs and projects as authorized in the annual budget and deliver planned results in a timely manner,” pahayag ni Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Mina F. Pangandaman.

Ang pagtaas sa infrastructure and other capital outlays ay dahil sa disbursements na isinagawa ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) para sa pagpapatupad ng iba’t ibang  priority projects; at capital outlays, tulad ng construction, rehabilitation, renovation, repair, at  improvement of roads and bridges, gayundin ang  flood control structures.

Nag-ambag din ang pagpapatupad ng iba’t ibang rail transport foreign-assisted projects ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) sa paglobo ng infrastructure spending.

Samantala, upang ipagpatuloy ang infrastructure development sa pamamagitan ng ‘Build, Better, More‘ program, ang total infrastructure outlays ay pinaglaanan ng P1.510 trillion sa FY 2024 budget. Mas mataas ito ng P180 million kumpara sa P1.330 trillion na inilaan para sa  imprastruktura sa 2023 GAA.

“Under the guidance of President Bongbong Marcos, we will continue to provide the much-needed budget to support the Build, Better, More program. The DBM likewise commits to help ramp up infrastructure spending by urging all government agencies to disburse and utilize their infrastructure budget efficiently and promptly. Every peso in our national budget should be spent effectively for the benefit of our economy and, most importantly, the Filipino people,” sabi pa ni Sec. Mina.

Layon ng ‘Build, Better, More’ program na palawakin ang imprastruktura ng bansa sa pamamagitan ng pagpapatupad ng road, rail, mass transport, at flood control infrastructure projects upang bigyang-daan ang paglago sa mga liblib na munisipalidad.

Ang infrastructure allocation na ito ay katumbas ng i5.5% ng  projected GDP ng bansa para sa taon, pasok sa 5.0 hanggang 6.0 percent target ng pamahalaan. Kinabibilangan ito ng Public Sector Infrastructure budget ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) at DPWH na nagkakahalaga ng P26.580 billion at P981.999 billion, ayon sa pagkakasunod.
