“A deficit indicates that the value of a country’s imports exceeded export receipts, while a surplus indicates more export shipments than imports,” paliwanag ng PSA.

Ang iba pang major export trading partners ng bansa ay ang Japan, $880.59 million (16.6%);

Hong Kong, $659.22 million (12.4%);  People’s Republic of China, $639.42 million (12.0%); at Thailand, $260.24 million (4.9%).

“The annual increment of imported goods in February 2021 was due to the increase in seven of the top 10 major commodity groups which was led by telecommunication equipment and electrical machinery (23.2%). This was followed by other food and live animals (13.7%); and plastics in primary and non-primary forms (8.8%),” paliwanag ng PSA.

Ayon pa sa ahensiya, ang People’s Republic of China ang pinakamalaking supplier ng imported goods ng bansa sa $1.90 billion o 24.9% ng total imports noong Pebrero.

Ang iba pang major import trading partners ng bansa ay ang Japan, $693.19 million (9.1%);  Republic of Korea, $680.96 million (9.0%); Singapore, $560.16 million (7.4%); at Indonesia, $513.85 million (6.8%).
