OKAY BANG TUMIRA SA MOBILE HOUSE ON WHEELS?

SIKAT na sikat ang mga mobile homes sa mga Western countries dahil parang pagong, dala ito palagi saan man sila pumunta. Matibay rin ito at maganda. Madali pang linisin. Sa Pilipinas, na kilala sa palaging binibisita ng bagyo at lindol, not to mention sa baha at landslides at kung minsan, buhawi na rin, pwede kaya ang house on wheels?

Ang pinakamala­king advantage ng pagtira sa mobile home on wheels sa Pilipinas ay affor­dability. Mae-enjoy kasi ang perks ng home­ownership pero hindi mo kailangang magbayad ng property o mag-maintain ng lupa at utilities. Pwede mo itong i-park kahit saan, kahit pa  sa parking lot ng mall.      Syempre, depende sa laki, ano! Kung sinlaki ng six-by-six, hindi ka naman papayagan. Besides, hindi praktikal ang malaking mobile house sa Metro Manila.

Mas murang magpagawa ng mobile house on wheels kesa karaniwang bahay, isa pa, may bahay ka na, may sasakyan ka pa. Ayaw mo nun? Pwede kang mamasyal anytime, at hindi mo problema ang sasakyan. Okay ding maipit sa traffic dahil dala mo naman ang bahay mo, hindi mo kailangang umuwi. Hindi mo rin kailangang kumain sa labas dahil pwede kang magluto sa loob ng sarili mong bahay. Ano pa ang mahihi­ling mo?

Kung tungkol naman sa design, hindi ito pansamantala lamang. Actually, pangmatagalan ito, depende sa makina ng sasakyang ginawa mong mobile house. Siguro, ito ang bagay na dapat mong palaging bigyan ng pansin. Isa pa, ang bahay ay gawa sa metal chassis at aabot kahit 50 taon.

Ang mobile home ay isang malaking caravan na walang paninda – tao lang ang nakatira. Pwede rin namang may aso, kung kaya mong alagaan. Pero may disadvantage din ito. Madali kasing bumaba ang presyo nito. Kasi naman, considered ito na personal property at hindi real pro­perty.

Kung safety naman ang pag-uusapan, of course, safe ito. At most, mananakawan ka ng side mirror kung paparada ka sa lugar na maraming magnanakaw. At syempre, hindi ka mag-aalalang walang kasama ang mga anak mo sa bahay kahit gabihin ka pa sa trabaho, dahil kasama mo naman sila at pwede mong bisitahin from time to time.

Kaya ba nito ang bagyo at malakas na hangin? Of course! Pero ang baha, hindi, lalo na kung dadaan ka sa Espanya. Kaya dapat, alam mo kung saan mo ipaparadsa ang mobile home mo.
