HINILING ni Deputy Speaker Bambol Tolentino na dagdagan ang pondo ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) partikular sa ilalim ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC).
Sa 2022 budget ay binigyan ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ng P175 million na pondo ang PSC.
Sa budget deliberation ng Kamara ay humirit si Tolentino ng P650 million na pondo para sa susunod na taon upang madagdagan ang budget para sa POC na siyang in-charge sa mga international sports competition at sa mga atleta ng bansa.
Giit ng POC president, dinesisyunan ang 2022 budget ng PSC nang hindi man lang sila kinokonsulta at hindi pa nagaganap ang pagkamit ng ginto at iba pang medalya ng bansa sa 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Hiniling ni Tolentino na itaas sa P650 million ang pondo ng ahensiya bunsod na rin ng limang major events na sasalihan ng bansa sa susunod na taon.
Kasama sa limang major events na lalahukan ng Pilipinas sa 2022 ang Winter Olympics, Asian Games, Asian Youth Games at SEA Games sa Vietnam.
