Ginapi ni Ugas si Pacquiao sa pamamagitan ng  unanimous decision upang mapanatili ang WBA welterweight championship noong Linggo, August 22 (Philippine time), sa Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Hindi ko akalain na sasalubong sila nang ganito. Sabi ko tahimik lang dahil talo naman tayo, hindi tayo nagwagi,” anang fighting senator.

“Laki ng pasalamat ko dahil para rin akong nanalo [sa] mainit na pagsalubong.”

Inaasahang iaanunsiyo niya ang kanyang mga plano para sa kanyang boxing career at sa 2022 polls matapos ang kanyang 10-day quarantine.
