TINIYAK ni Speaker Lord Allan Velasco na isusulong ng Kamara ang moder­nisasyon ng Philippine Air Force kasunod na rin ng nang-yaring insidente na pagbagsak ng C-130 sa Patikul, Sulu na ikinasawi ng 50 military personnel at aircarft crew.

Kasabay ng pangakong ito ang pakikiramay ng House leadership sa mga pamilyang naiwan ng mga nasawi sa insidente.

Ayon kay Velasco, ang tanging mabibitawan niyang salita ngayon ay tinitiyak niyang isasama ng Mababang Kapulu­ngan sa 2022 national budget ang modernisas­yon ng PAF partikular sa mga aircraft at tamang pagsasanay ng mga tauhan sa paghawak ng mga modernong kagamitan.

Hinikayat din ng Speaker ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na magsagawa ng malalim na imbestigas­yon sa insidente upang maiwasan ang mga kaha­lintulad na pangyayari sa hinaharap.

Pinare-review rin ni Velasco sa PAF ang protocols sa mga piloto gayundin ay pinasisilip ang kaligtasan ng mga runways sa buong bansa partikular sa mga pro­binsya.

Hinikayat naman ni Deputy Speaker at Cagayan de Oro Rep. Rufus Rodriguez ang Department of National Defense (DND) at AFP na ibigay lahat ng tulong na kailangan sa mga sundalong nasawi at sugatan sa insidente.

Bukod sa mga pamilya ng mga sundalo ay nakiusap din ang kong­resista sa DND at AFP na tulungan ang pamilya ng mga sibilyan na nadamay at crew na sakay rin ng bumagsak na C-130.

Humingi rin ng listahan ang mambabatas para sa mga biktima na mula sa Cagayan de Oro.

Nakahanda si Rodriguez na magbigay  ng assistance sa mga kababayang apektado ng insidente. CONDE BATAC
