TINANGGIHAN ni Senador Christopher ‘Bong’ Go ang pag-endorso sa kanya ng PDP-Laban na banderahan ang kanilang partido sa eleksiyon sa susunod na taon.
Sumulat na si Go kay Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi, pangulo ng PDP-Laban para ipaalam na tinatanggihan niya ang endorsement.
Pinasalamatan ng senador si Cusi sa tiwala at kumpiyansa sa kanya, ngunit ipinagdiinan niya na hindi siya interesado na maging pangulo ng bansa.
“I am deeply honored by the trust and confidence of the members of the NEC (National Executive Commission) in my capability to run for the presidency this coming 2022 elections. For a simple man who hails from a city in the South, the endorsement alone by esteemed members and officers of the NEC is a great personal honor for me,” sabi ni Go, nagsisilbing auditor ng PDP-laban.
Dagdag nito; “As much as I wish to respond to the clamor of many of our partymates, I most respectfully decline the said endorsement. As I have said many times before, I am not interested in the presidency.”
Muling iginiit ni Go na ang kanyang plano ay ipinasa-Diyos na niya at depende rin sa pamilya Duterte.
Matatandaang inanunsiyo ni Pangulong Duterte na handa siyang kumandidato sa pagka-bise presidente sa halalan sa susunod na taon at ang kanyang tandem sa panguluhan ay si Go.
