PAGWASAK SA INSURHENSIYA TOP PRIORITY NG AFP

NASA  top priority ng Armed Forces of the Philippines  ang pagwasak sa insurhensiya.

Idiniin ito ng bagong talagang pinuno ng AFP 10th Infantry Division sa bahagi ng Eastern Mindanao.

Opisyal nang nanunungkulan bilang commander ng Philippine Army 10th Infantry “Agila” Division si Brig. Gen. Jose C. Faustino Jr. makaraang halinhan niya si  Maj. Gen. Noel S. Clement matapos ang isinagawang  change of command ceremony.

Pinangunahan ni  Commanding General Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Macairog S. Alberto, ang ginawang change of command sa Camp General Manuel T. Yan Sr. Brgy Tuboran, Mawab, Compostela Valley.

Tampok sa nasabing sere­monya ang pagsasalin ng command symbol kay  Faus­tino Jr. Isa ito sa noble military traditions na kumakatawan sa pagsasalin ng kapangyarihan at responsibilidad ng yunit mula kay Maj. Gen. Clement na hinirang naman na bagong Commander ng  Central Command, Armed Forces of the Philippines sa Visayas Region.

Si Brig. Gen. Faustino Jr., na  kasapi ng  Philippine Military Academy “Maringal” Class of 1988 ay isang  scout ranger at  well-decorated officer.

Ilan sa mga posisyong hinawakan nito ang Army Intelligence, ang nucleus of Army operation, training and education, pinamumunuan din niya ang 501st Infantry “Valiant” Brigade, 5th Infantry “Star Troopers” Division sa  Sulu, Commandant of the Philippine Military Academy at  Chief of Staff of the Army bago ang kanyang bagong posisyon.

Sa kanyang  assumption speech, sinabi ng opisyal na  “I am  very thankful for the trust and confidence bestowed by the command, as your new commander, together we will expand our horizon, institute strategy-based and purposive operation within the bounds of human security framework overarching to end insurgency as priority thrust to better-serve the Filipinos.”

Pinapurihan naman ni Ltgen Alberto si Maj. Gen. Noel S. Clement dahil sa mga nagawa nito sa 10th ID.
