PAYO SA GOV’T CAREER EXECS: PAGLILINGKOD ISAPUSO

PINAYUHAN ni Senadora Cynthia Villar ang career executives at rank-and-file employees na isapuso ang kanilang serbisyo sa pamahalaan kaakibat ng sinseridad.

Aniya, napakahirap na trabaho ang paglilingkod sa publiko.

“Public service is a difficult career. You put long hours and great effort in delivering services to the people, at times, if not more often, sacrificing personal time and choices for the greater good of the majority. I have much respect and appreciation to those who opt to work in government over the private sector, which is more financially stable,” anang senadora sa career executives ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) na lumahok sa eco-tour, clean-up at tree planting activity sa  Las Piñas Parañaque Wetland Park.

Nagtipon ang DENR career executives sa  Las Piñas Parañaque Wetland Park sa 45th Founding Anniversary ng Career Executive Service Board (CESB) na may temang “Serbisyo ng CESO, Kalibre 45: Community passion (ComPASSION).’

Ang ComPASSION ay 45-day reflection na panata ng career executive bilang CESO at eligibles kung saan ibinabalik nila ang kanilang mga biyaya sa komunidad. Ang limang project areas nito ay “People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace at Partnership.”

Sumasailalim sa planet category ang mga aktibidades sa Las Piñas Pa­rañaque Wetland Park fall na pinasimulan ng career executive officers at eligibles ng DENR.

Lumahok sa okasyon ang mga kinatawan mula sa CESB,  DENR Association of Career Executives Inc., DENR-NCR Conservation and Development Division, at DENR Biodiversity Management Bureau.

Kabilang sa aktibidades ang  bird watching at tour ng Las Piñas Parañaque Wetland Park, 175-hectare area na ikinokonsiderang “last coastal frontier” o “last natural bastion sa Metro Manila”.  Ito ay idinekla­rang critical habitat noong 2007 sa bisa ng Presidential Proclamation No. 1412, at kinilalang ikaanim na Philippine site sa Ramsar List of “Wetlands of International Importance” noong Marso 15, 2013. Nag-iisa ito sa metropolis.

Pinangunahan din ni Villar ang clean-up at  tree planting sa Las Piñas Parañaque Wetland Park coastal area, isang regular na aktibidad na itinataguyod ng senator bilang “environmental warrior” na agresibo sa pagsusulong sa  conservation at protection ng natural habitats ng bansa.     VICKY CERVALES
