GINAWARAN ng medalya ng ‘Kadakilaan’ ng Quezon City Police District (QCPD) ang isa sa mga pulis na napatay sa naganap na engkuwentro laban sa Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) sa Commonwealth Avenue sa lungsod nitong Miyerkules.

SA ulat personal na iniabot ni QCPD Director BGen. Danilo Macerin ang Medalya ng Kadakilaan sa kapatid ng pumanaw na si Police Cpl. Elvin Garado,nakatalaga sa District Operation Unit (DSOU) bilang pagkilala sa sakripisyo na nagbuwis ng buhay sa pagtupad ng tungkulin.

Si Garado,36-anyos ay tumanggap na rin ng maraming pagkilala tulad ng PNP Commendation Medal, Efficiency Medal, Heroism Medal, Police Relations Medal at PNP Service Medal.

Nagkamit din ng ibat-ibang parangal ang isa pang pulis na napatay na si Police Corporal Lauro de Guzman,Jr.,32-anyos na kinabibilangan ng PNP Commendation Medal, Efficiency Medal, Police Relations Medal, Heroism Medal, Medal of Merit at Service Medal.

Samantala, umaapela naman ang lokal na pamahalaan ng Quezon City sa mga may-ari ng mga negosyo sa paligid ng Ever Gotesco Mall sa Commonwealth na makipagtulungan sa mga awtoridad para sa gagawing imbestigasyon ng naganap na misencounter. EVELYN GARCIA
