CAMP CRAME – NAGPATUPAD ng reshuffle ang Philippine National Police (PNP) sa kanilang 1,370 tauhan na may kamag-anak sa mga kan-didatong politiko na tatakbo sa May 13 midterm elections.
Habang kinumpirma rin ni PNP Chief, Dir. Gen. Oscar D. Albayalde na may limang pulis ang nagbitiw upang piliin na maging politiko o nag-file ng Certificates of Candidacy para sa local elective post.
Ang rigodon ng PNP personnel ay isang administrative measure para matiyak na walang kikilingan ang law enforcement dahil non-partisan o apolitical ang PNP.
Ang reshuffle policy ay ipinatupad sa 121 Provincial Directors, City Directors, Mobile Force Commanders, at chiefs of police na umabot na sa dalawang taon ang tour of duty sa kanilang assignments.
“As non-partisan and deputized law enforcement agency of the Commission on Elections, we strongly and firmly remain faith-ful to our apolitical mandate to ensure and protect the will of the electorate towards honest, orderly and peaceful elections,” ayon kay Albayalde.
Sinabi naman ni Directorate for Personnel and Records Management (DPRM) head, Major General Lyndon Cubos na mayroong 1,858 PNP personnel ang may blood relations at affinity sa politiko na kandidato sa paparating na election. EUNICE C.
