NAGSASAGAWA na ang regional office ng Department of Agriculture (DA) ng disinfection sa African swine fever (ASF)-infected areas at nagpapatupad ng hog repopulation sa mga piling lugar.

Ayon kay DA Ilocos Region director Nestor Domenden, ito ay makaraang isang buwan nang hindi nakapagtala ang  DA ng mga bagong kaso ng ASF.

“Magandang pangitain na nakokontrol na ang pag-spread ng virus,” aniya.

Sinabi ni Domenden na dini-disinfect na ang mga lugar na apektado ng ASF at inilabas na ang ilang biik sa ilang lugar tulad ng Labrador, Lingayen, at Aguilar towns sa Pangasinan.

Kasalukuyan pa umano silang nagpoproseso at nagpapalabas ng pondo sa mga pamilyang apektado ng ASF na kamakallan lamang iniulat.

Ayon kay Domended, matatag na ngayon ang presyo ng baboy sa rehiyon.
