DUMAAN sa butas ng karayom laban sa much-improved University of the East side, umaasa and University of the Philippines na magiging magaan ang kanilang laro kontra Far Eastern University.
Magbabakbakan ang Lady Maroons at ang Lady Tamaraws para sa ikalawang panalo sa tampok na laro sa UAAP Season 81 women’s volleyball match ngayong alas-4 ng hapon sa Filoil Flying V Centre.
“I will say again, every team wants to win. FEU, it’s a strong team as well with a lot of experience, and I believe if we play hard, we have a chance of winning,” wika ni UP Kenyan coach Godfrey Okumu.
“We just play our volleyball, we would be ready for the next game. But again, nothing comes easy, it’s a struggle,” dagdag pa niya.
Umaasa ang University of Santo Tomas na sasamahan ang magwawagi sa UP-FEU match para sa maagang liderato sa pagsagupa sa Ateneo sa unang laro sa alas-2 ng hapon.
Naitakas ng UP ang 25-12, 22-25, 23-25, 25-19, 15-12 panalo kontra Lady Warriors noong Sabado, sa pangunguna ng trio nina Isa Molde, Tots Carlos at Justine Dorog.
Sa parehong araw, sinimulan ng FEU ang post-Bernadeth Pons era nito sa pamamagitan ng 22-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-12 pagbasura sa youthful National University, kung saan nagbida si rookie Lycha Ebon.
“Obviously, I’m happy that our team won the game, but I think there’s a lot of things that we still need to work on. So from this first game, we saw things like receive and other skills that we need to work on,” sabi ni bagong Lady Tamaraws skipper Jerrili Malabanan.
