TATANGGAP ng 100 Immigration Officers ang Bureau of Immigration (BI) na itatalaga sa iba’t ibang seaport ng Luzon, Visayas at Mindanao.
Ayon kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, ang 100 slots na ito ay may plantillang mga position bilang Immigration Officer II, at bukod dito magha-hire rin sila ng 148 position ng administrative aides at translator.
Maliban sa hiring, isasabay rin ang promotion ng mga immigration intelligence agents, intelligence officer, at maging senior immigration officer.
Sinabi ni Morente ang tatanggapin na mga applicant sa immigration officer II ay iyong mga fresh graduates, at kailangang sumailalim sa online examinations, interviews, at pagsasanay sa Bureau of immigration Academy sa Clark, Pampanga.
Sa kasalukuyan ay pino-process ang application ng 195 immigration officers na sinasabing unang batch ng mga applicant na kukuha ng online examinations. FROILAN MORALLOS
