“In this light, we thank the Civil Service Commission for clarifying through Memorandum Circular No. 5 series of 2020 issued last February 20, that the absence of public sector officials and employees during the 14 calendar days prescribed for self-quarantine, including those who were diagnosed with COVID-19 during the said period shall not be deducted from earned leave credits. We appeal to the private sector to consider extending the same benefit to their employees,” wika ni Nograles.
PILIPINO Mirror Reportorial Team
