AMB. FRANCIS CHUA FIRST RECIPIENT NG PINAKAMATAAS NA AWARD NG PCCI

KINILALA ng  Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) noong Miyerkoles ang private sector leaders at top corporations na may napakalaking naiambag sa paglago ng organisasyon at ng ekonomiya ng bansa sa pangkalahatan, kung saan tinanggap ni Ambassador Francis C. Chua ang PCCI Presidential Excellence Award.

Si Chua, dating presidente ng  PCCI at kasalukuyang chairman emeritus ng chamber, ang unang recipient ng pinakamataas na parangal ng PCCI.

Si Chua, ang Honorary Consul General ng Peru sa Filipinas at dating special envoy ng Manila sa China, ay kinilala para sa kanyang mga programa na nagpatatag at nagpanatili sa financial growth ng PCCI. Sinelyuhan niya ang alyansa ng PCCI at ng International Chamber of Commerce, ang world body na nagpapatibay, nagsusulong at nangangasiwa sa implementasyon ng Certificate of Origin and ATA Carnet (kilala bilang Passport for Goods).

Sa kanyang mga inisyatiba ay naging isang tunay na global chamber ang PCCI at nagpasok ng daang milyong piso na kita, na nagbigay-daan para maisulong ng chamber ang mas maraming proyekto para sa kapakinabangan ng micro, small and medium enterprises sa bansa.

Labis ang pasasalamat ni Chua, founding chairman ng International Chamber of Commerce Philippines (ICCP), sa tinanggap na pinakaprestihiyosong award mula sa PCCI.

I am deeply honored to receive this most prestigious award – an award that is most fitting for you, Mr. President.  I receive this on behalf of all the past Presidents of PCCI.  I would also like to give special mention to my mentors — Hon. Secretary Titoy Pardo, Ramon S. Ang, Sergio R. Ortiz Luis Jr., Menardo R. Jimenez, entire Board of Directors, the secretariat of PCCI, and last but not the least, my brothers in Club 630 Jess, Bobby, Rene, Ben. This award is the fruit of all our joint efforts and collaboration. Again, thank you very much,” sabi ni Chua matapos na tanggapin ang award.

Kinilala ng PCCI, sa paggagawad ng Presidential Excellence Award, si Chua “for his steadfast and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of the chamber movement and the Philippine business community.”

“Ambassador Chua’s vision, business acumen and advocacies continue to push the PCCI to greater heights. His foresight has paved the way for the establishment of the Philippine Business Center, the home for start-ups and SMEs as they navigate their way to establishing their presence in the business community. The creation of PCCI’s e-commerce platform, under his guidance, is evidence of his commitment of growing and uplifting SMEs. The International Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, of which Ambassador Chua chairs, is his contribution to making the country an active participant in the international arena of the chamber movement. Beyond PCCI and his numerous business affiliations, Ambassador Chua’s philanthropic contributions have impacted the lives of scholars, frontliners, public servants and the less fortunate members of our society,” pahayag ni PCCI President Amb. Samantala, ang ICCP Global Excellence Corporate Award ay iginawad ng PCCI sa San Miguel Corporation, Andrew Tan Group of Companies, at National Grid Corporation of the Philippines.

Pinarangalan din ng PCCI sa two-day 46th Philippine Business Conference & Expo sina Edgardo Lacson, ICCP Global Excellence Award; Don Emilio T. Yap Sr., ICCP Global Excellence Posthumous Award; at Alfonso G. Siy, ICCP Global Excellence Posthumous Award.
