(Aprub sa Landbank) P20-B LOANS PARA SA GREEN ENERGY PROJECTS

INAPRUBAHAN ng Land Bank of the Philippines ang loans na nagkakahalaga ng P20.1 billion sa 56 borrowers bilang suporta sa local renewable energy projects hanggang March 31, 2022.

Ayon sa Landbank, ang pagpapalabas ng loans ay kaugnay sa commitment ng state-run lender sa sustainable development “as the country reels from the effects of changing global climates and shifting weather patterns.”

Sinabi ng Landbank na sa pamamagitan ng kanilang Renewable Energy Program ay layon nilang tustusan ang paglinang sa renewable energy sources at palawakin ang access sa maaasahan, malinis at sustainable power para makatulong na pagaanin ang mga  epekto ng climate change sa bansa.

“As an industry leader in promoting environmental sustainability in the country, Landbank is at the forefront of supporting initiatives aimed at protecting our environment. We are looking to work with more customers and development partners towards a more sustainable future for the next generation, and beyond,” ani Landbank president and CEO Cecilia Borromeo.

Ayon sa Landbank, maaaring tustusan ng kanilang Renewable Energy Program ang renewable energy projects na ginagamit ang biomass, geothermal, solar, hydro, ocean, at wind power.

“Other eligible projects include biofuel, hybrid renewable energy systems, such as hybrid electric or compressed natural gas, and the fabrication or manufacturing of renewable energy technologies, equipment and components, among others,” dagdag pa ng bangko.

Ang eligible borrowers tulad ng electric cooperatives, local government units (LGUs), government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs), at government agencies ay maaaring makahiram ng hanggang 90% ng total cost ng proyekto.

Samantala, ang mga kooperatiba, asosasyon, at private borrowers na may kategoryang single proprietorships, partnerships, o corporations ay makauutang ng hanggang 80%.
