BAWAS SA SURGE RATE IPATUTUPAD NG GRAB

PANSAMANTALANG bababaan ng ride-hailing firm Grab ang surge rate nito upang matulungan ang mga pasahero na makapag-adjust makaraang payagan ng Land Trans¬portation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ang transport network companies na ipatupad ang P2 per minute travel charge epektibo kahapon.

Ayon kay Grab ­Philippines public affairs head Leo Gonzales, ang rush hour surge pricing ay ibababa sa 1.6x mula sa 2.0x.

Sinabi ng Grab na sa muling pagpapatupad ng per minute charge ay maeengganyo ang mga driver ng transportation network vehicle services (TNVS) units nito na dagdagan ang biyahe, na tutugon sa malaking demand para sa rides ng mga pasahero nito.

“Previous removal of the P2 per minute charge coupled with traffic and fuels costs ‘forced dri­vers to go offline’ as ope­rations were no longer economical,” paliwanag ng Grab.

Nagpasalamat naman ang kompanya sa LTFRB sa pagdinig sa kanilang apela.

“We thank the ­LTFRB for hearing the plea of our driver-partners and reinstating the PHP2 per minute travel time fare component. We hope that this will encourage our driver-partners to go back online and continue bringing more passengers home, especially this upcoming Christmas season. Grab will continue to supplement this with other opportunities and benefits that will improve driver productivity,” sabi pa ng Grab.

Hindi sinabi ng Grab kung hanggang kailan nila bababaan ang surge fare.

“There is no definite timeline (on its duration) but we will observe the trends within the next two weeks. The intent is to help passengers and allow adjustment period,” ayon sa Grab.

“We are hopeful that the waiting time and booking experience will improve as we get more drivers back into the platform to serve you,” dagdag pa nito.
