BIANCA UMALI SOBRANG NA-STARSTRUCK KAY DAWN ZULUETA

KUNG sa mediacon ng StarStruck Season 7 last June 10 ay sinabi ng online host na si Kyline Alcantara na na-star-struck siya sa huradong si Cherie Gil, sa mediacon naman ng pelikulang Family History sa Novotel Hotel, Araneta Cen­ter, Q.C., it was Bian­ca Umali’s turn to say that she was startrucked with her co-star Dawn Zulueta.

Hindi raw niya makalilimutan nang magkaroon sila ng script reading for the movie, pagkapasok na pagkapasok daw ni Dawn sa room, she was awed beyond words.

Alam raw niyang Dawn was able to notice it and it was highly embarrassing, but she couldn’t stop staring at her because she was so beautiful. Pa­ngiti-ngiti lang si Dawn na nagkataong katabi ni Bianca ng mga sandaling iyon.

Idinagdag pa ni Bianca na favorite raw kasi ng kanyang lola si Dawn.

Ang totoo niyan, her grandma was so happy that her granddaughter was given the chance to work with her favorite actress. Wish ni Bianca na makita ng kanyang lola si Dawn isa sa mga araw na ito.

In a way, kahanga-hanga naman talaga si Dawn dahil bukod sa napakaganda pa rin niya, kanyang napananatili ang kalidad ng isang aktres na dapat tularan ng mga kabataang artista sa ngayon gaya ni Bianca Umali.

In fairness, full of promise naman itong si Bianca. Habang nagtatagal, lalo siyang gumaganda at guma­galing sa Sahaya.

Ang totoo niyan, sa kanyang batch, si Bianca Umali ang pinakamaga­ling. Her awe-inspiring performance in good projects like Sahaya and Alaala (martial law docu-drama) with Alden Richards, are truly remarkable.

KIKO EN LALA NI SUPER TEKLA NASA BAUL MUNA NG GMA PICTURES

ITINAGO muna ng GMA Pictures ang launching film ni Super Tekla na Kiko en Lala, na Mayo 22 supposedly ang target playdate.

Marami ang nagsasabing dapat daw na ma­ging maingat ang taga-GMA Pictures sa pelikulang ito ni Super Tekla. Iba kasi ang style ng kanyang pagpapatawa as compared to Vice Ganda.

Vice is good when it comes to cinematic way of making people laugh. He is also good when it comes to live performances.

Super Tekla, on the other hand is good in making people laugh during his live performances. But he is not quite as effective on the big screen.

Kaya dapat pag-aralan muna ito nang mabuti ni Super Tekla. Or better still, he should be given a good material that would compliment his style of making people laugh.

Sayang naman daw kung mapunta lang sa wala ang kanyang God-given talent.

Itong kanyang movie na Kiko en Lala ay dapat sigurong ipanood muna sa mga taong authority sa comedy movies.

If there is the need to re-shoot some scenes o kumuha ng isa pang mas magaling na direktor, I guess they should do it, if only to save the movie. Admittedly, comedy is not Direk Adolf Alix’s medium. That’s why he wasn’t able to do justice to Super Tekla’s comedic skills.
